ÉRE Remembers 2024

For ÉRE Remembers, the students, staff, and community paused together.

We were honoured by the presence of Jim Klovansky (paratrooper in the Canadian Airborne Regiment and Sergeant at Arms of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 8), Sharon Maxwell (president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 8), Master Cadet Melanchuk, Master Cadet Lapointe, and Leading Cadet Carbino (Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps 198 Yukon.)

Grade 5 students Laila and Kira led us through the program which included quotes from The Diary of Anne Frank and the poem In Flanders Fields. Several grade 5 students presented a Shadow Play that shared a story of two people falling in love in 1936 followed by the disruption that World War II caused their family. Our ceremony finished with the playing of The Last Post by ÉRE parent Celyn Magnus and a Moment of Silence.
