2023/2024 School Supply Lists
École Rocky Elementary will have a staggered start in 2023/24
Grade 1-5 Students will attend their first class with half their classmates on Sept 5 or 6 before all classmates join together on Sept 7.
Kindergarten and PreK students will attend one class with half their classmates.
Cohort and homeroom information should arrive by mail around August 20. Please contact the school by email (rockyelem@wrsd.ca) or phone message (403-845-3541) if you have any questions or did not receive your postcard.
Busing
- Arrange busing if needed through Wild Rose Transportation Department
- If you are a new bus rider, you may be interested in the drop-in First Rider Orientation, Aug 23, 3-7 pm at West Central School.
If any of your family information (eg. phone number, mailing address, custody agreements, emergency contacts) has changed over the summer, please phone (403-845-3541) or email (rockyelem@wrsd.ca) with the updates.
Leading up to the start of school, the ERE School Office Hours will be:
- Aug 25 - 9-12 noon / 1-3 pm
- Aug 28 - 9-12 noon / 1-3 pm
- Aug 29 - 1-3 pm
- Aug 30 - 1-3 pm
- Aug 31 - Closed
- Sept 1 - 9 am - 3 pm
- During all school days, office hours are 8:15 am - 4:00 pm
Please consider joining the School Parent Council. The first meeting is Sept 27, 6 pm at ERE. An active School Council is important for a healthy school! New members are always welcome.

New Registrations - Have you met someone new to town? We are accepting new registrations K-5 for English or French Immersion. The online registration is available on our school website.
ERE Parent Handbook is available with lots of information about start times, parking, special dates and school programs.
Frisbee Rob Assembly, Sept 8, 9:00 am - We have an exciting assembly lined up for the first week of school! Frisbee Rob holds 13 Guinness World Records and is an engaging speaker with his key message "Best Effort Always". ERE Families are welcome to attend!
