Dear ÉRE Parents and Guardians,
I am sharing an attached letter that indicates Alberta Health is investigating a case of COVID associated with our school community.
While I can't share specific names, I can say everyone involved moved quickly with the safety of others at top of mind. Anyone who is considered a close contact has already been contacted and has started isolation. The school remains open and operational for all other families. This e-mail is simply an effort to be transparent about a COVID investigation in the school.

I recognize there is fatigue living through the restrictions of a global pandemic. I believe we will soon be on the other side of things, but until then, it is important to stay vigilant, to check in on the well-being of your neighbours, and to stay positive. I know living through a global pandemic continues to be a new experience for all of us and it is difficult to keep up on changing restrictions. If you have questions, please reach out by phone (403) 845-3541 or e-mail.
Lastly, I would like to share much gratitude to our school families and school staff for following all of the school re-entry guidelines. I would also like to appreciate everyone who is checking in often with their neighbours, friends, and family to ensure we are navigating this time with good health.

ÉRE was moved to 'outbreak' status today by Alberta Health based on two COVID cases associated with our school community within a two week period. Please see the accompanying letter.
- There are no new cases of COVID to report
- This is a natural step based on previous cases.
- To our knowledge, all cases have been acquired in the community and there has been no spread in the school.
- ÉRE will be removed from the outbreak list when we are clear of new cases for 28 days.
- Update: ÉRE was removed from the outbreak list on December 31, 2020.
